The Clarke & Lewis UTB CL-TCB-200 is a heavy-duty coiling machine designed to fabricate coils of up to 3″ diameter copper. The machine has an overarm tie for rigidity for large coils. Pressure die is hydraulically actuated with a display of pressure setting. System pressure is also adjustable and is displayed. The machine has powered rotation with variable speed control.
A “CW-CCW” switch on the control panel provides for left-hand / right-hand rotation of the spindle allowing the operator to “unwind” the finished coil from the die.
A “preset” control on the control console for angle of rotation enables the operator to enter the total degrees of rotation (i.e., 720° for two turn coil).
A slow-down control for the spindle rotation is provided on the operator’s console. This control allows the operator to set a slow-down number of degrees prior to the spindle reading the commanded degree of rotation. A “jog” control allows the operator to move the spindle for set-up and testing. The coil diameter and pitch are functions of the coiling die.
